Many pupils have said that they don't know how to study for English. You can create spider diagrams, complete past papers, write essays, create notes, make up pneumonics, record yourself reading out things and then listen to it, write quotes and notes on post its and stick them around your bedroom... The list goes on. Here are some tips for what you could study;
Close Reading • Past papers • Learn the formulas – sticky notes/spider diagram/pneumonic • Close Reading Clinic on Proboards • Use the green or purple books to practise • Visit BBC Bitesize – Analysis and Evaluation section.
Remote • Learn your quotes - sticky notes/spider diagram/pneumonic/recordings • Analyse your quotes - use your essays/green booklet to help you • Go through your green booklet and make notes from it/spider diagram. • Go over the spider diagram we made plus the quote sheet.
Bold Girls • Read a summary on proboards - test your knowledge of the plot with a friend • Look at characterisation/theme/plot/setting… on proboards - make up a spider diagram • Look at BBC Bitesize page - then make your own notes from this • Study the spider diagram we made in class • Learn at least 2 quotes per section
